THERAPY FOR RELATIONSHIPS IN HUNTSVILLE, AL & ACROSS CA, NM, & VA
This isn’t the life you imagined for yourself.
“I love my kids, but sometimes they’re too much.”
“I can’t stop arguing with my spouse.”
“I never say what I really feel.”
“I’m trying so hard but it doesn’t feel like anything is working.”
You’ve accomplished a lot in life, but most days it feels like something is missing. You’re seeing this show up most often in your relationships: at work, with your friends, and especially your spouse and kids. You're trying so hard to make everyone happy, but it never seems to be quite enough and you feel so guilty. Or maybe you’re just plain burnt out and tired of caring for everyone else but yourself. On top of that, you worry about repeating everything you said you’d never do from your own childhood. It’s paralyzing to the point that you disconnect rather than get it wrong.
It’s hard to let people in—maybe out of fear of being vulnerable or simply because you don’t have the words to say what you’re feeling. It’s lonely because nobody really knows what’s going on inside your head and you’re scared of never being able to fix what’s wrong. It feels like you've lost touch with who you are and what truly brings you joy.
You want to be a better partner, parent, or friend, and with a clear plan, you know that you can be that person.
You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t want things to get better.
My approach
One of the biggest focuses of therapy for relationships is identifying your core values and what truly matters to you.
I’ll guide you in exploring your deepest desires and envisioning the life you want.
That might be harmony in the home, fulfilling intimacy and connection with your partner, or clearly communicating with your loved ones. Together, we'll uncover what's getting in the way of achieving these goals by understanding your boundaries and communication tendencies.
Sometimes this process means letting go of, or even grieving, your expectations and what you thought you wanted. We’ll look at how to improve your relationships and your role in what needs to change. Together we’ll work on finding a clear, actionable plan to move forward.
Trying to describe what you’re feeling can be difficult—I’m here to help you find the words. As you practice, you’ll learn how to build your self-worth, trust yourself, and discover what you’re capable of. When you begin to understand how to manage expectations for yourself and others, you’ll learn how to build healthier, meaningful relationships you truly want.

What others have wondered about therapy for relationships
-
I’m trained and have experience working with couples, but I use my expertise to support people in their relationships through individual therapy.
-
Yes. This is a difficult decision and therapy can help you explore your feelings and thoughts with clarity and support. It can also help you navigate the emotional and practical aspects of separation.
-
It can be tough to feel like you’re always the one giving in, and it’s completely valid to want to understand why that’s happening. In therapy, you can dive into the things going on in your relationships and figure out why you might be feeling this way. I’ll support you in finding your voice, setting boundaries that work for you, and ensuring your needs and desires are part of the equation, too.
