HUNTSVILLE THERAPIST | CAROLYN WHITE, LCSW SERVING AL, CA, NM, & VA
Get to know yourself again.
Down-to-earth, compassionate therapy with someone who gets it.
What’s worked for you in the past isn’t working anymore.
You recognize you’ve checked off a lot of goals in your career and life, but sometimes it doesn’t “feel” like you’re successful. Maybe you find your inner critic saying “You’re not good enough” or there’s a nagging feeling that something is missing in your life. Even though you logically understand the circumstances of your life, it’s hard to pinpoint and put a name to all the emotions that keep bubbling to the surface.
You hate to admit it, but you’re a little bit embarrassed to be feeling this way at all. For somebody who is supposed to be organized and “put together” it feels like you’re failing. You’re telling yourself that you should be figuring things out on your own—but you’re at the end of your rope and you need a solution. And fast.
We can’t solve every single problem on our own.
Meet Carolyn White
It’s not easy admitting you need extra support, especially when you’re used to being the person who takes care of everyone else. I’m here to help you find answers to the problems that feel insurmountable.
I offer hope until you can embrace it yourself, compassion until you feel it within, and structure until you find your own sense of security.
I’m a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and tell-it-like-it-is kind of therapist. Here, you can feel safe showing up as yourself and not pretending to be anything you aren’t. I genuinely care about those I work with and I’ve seen the incredible impact good therapy can make in people’s lives.
My background includes extensive experience with stressful and demanding professions—military, first responders, engineers, and scientists. I want to assure you that we’re not only going to talk about feelings here. We’ll get to the heart of why you’re struggling so we can find real change, together.
In this work, I see us as lab partners. We'll test hypotheses and explore different strategies to see what works. My role isn't to solve your problems —the goal is for you to find your own solutions. I'll be there to support you every step of the way, offering suggestions, and providing feedback. Think of it as a collaborative effort where we work together to help you achieve your goals.

My approach
Awareness
We’ll start by understanding what’s really going on in your life. Together, we'll dig into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to uncover what's driving them. Awareness is the first step toward making sense of your challenges, your relationships, and finding new ways forward.
Acceptance
Change can be tough, but accepting where you're at right now is key. I'll be here to help you embrace yourself—flaws and all—with kindness and understanding by offering a safe space for you to be “real” and grow.
Action
Understanding and accepting are important, but you must take action to actually experience change. We'll come up with practical steps and strategies that fit your life and goals. This will help you move toward the kind of life you’re striving for.
